3 inch Ball Valve

In practical applications, the nominal diameter of a 3 inch ball valve is DN80, which means the inner diameter of the pipeline is approximately 80mm. Ball valves of this size are widely used in various industrial pipeline systems to control the on-off and regulation of fluid flow.
3inch ball valves usually adopt a full-bore or reduced-bore design, which has the advantages of low flow resistance and high flow capacity. They are featured with good sealing performance, easy operation, and are suitable for various corrosive and non-corrosive media. In addition, 3 inch ball valves also have good adjustability and reliability, which can meet the requirements under different working conditions.
Main features of the 3 inch ball valve.
- The stem surface roughness is strictly restricted between Ra0.4 and Ra0.8, which ensures entry of graphite packing powder into tiny stem scratches to function as a lubricator, minimizing leakages around the stem. Max roughness of the stuffing box is RA3.2, which is a proper value to hold the packing ring in place and result in better sealing performance;
- The packing is a combination of parallel and vertical layers which is made of die-formed graphite ring processed by flexible graphite, characterizing heat resistance, less stress relaxation, and low creep. The special structure means low friction on the rotary stem, providing stabilized seal capability for the valve for a long time under frequent functioning;
- The Lip seal is the spring-energized seal, including Elgiloy or Inconel spring and PTFE jacket. it’s effective in a wide breadth of applications, such as highly corrosive chemical media, high sour gas, low temperature, or cryogenic service;
