1 in Ball Valve

1 in Ball Valve
Ball valves have a wide variety of models and sizes. For example the standard ball valve, its nominal diameter ranges from DN15 to150 millimeters. The 1 in ball valve, as one of the specifications, has a nominal diameter of DN25 millimeters, that is, the diameter is 25 millimeters. This is based on international standards. The “1 in” does not directly equate to one inch (25.4 millimeters) in the British imperial unit system.
It should be noted that in addition to the nominal diameter, other factors such as the nominal pressure, driving and connection mode, etc., also need to be considered when selecting a ball valve.
Of course a 1 in ball valve has all the advantages that a ball valve has. First, it has a small fluid resistance, which benefits from the ball valve structural characteristics. Second, it has good sealing performance and can effectively prevent fluid leakage. In addition, it can be opened and closed quickly with less effort, and is easy to operate and maintain.
These characteristics make ball valves widely used in various fields. Whether in small-diameter or large-diameter, high-vacuum or high-pressure environments, ball valves can present excellent performance.

A 1 in ball valve is usually connected to a one-inch pipe. The size of a ball valve is usually decided by the diameter of the pipeline it is connected to, in order to ensure the sealing performance and flow control effect. For a one inch ball valve, the “one inch” in its name refers to the diameter of the pipeline it is suitable for.
Topwells’ full port 1 in ball valve is suitable a full range of liquids and gases media in residential and commercial applications.

1″ Ball Valve Threaded Connection, Female or Male?
A ball valve usually adopts the method of threaded connection , and there are two common types of thread size standards: G and NPT.
The thread dimensions of a 1 inch ball valve are divided into two types: female/internal threads and male/external threads. The size of the female threads is 1 inch, that is, 1″; and the size of the male threads is 1.3 inches, that is, 1.3″.
The difference between female or male is only related to the connection form with the piping system. According to the on-spot requirements, either type which is more convenient for pratical installation and maintenance can be selected . Their internal structures can be completely the same.
