The soft seal butterfly valve, as a component used to achieve pipeline system cutoff and flow control, has been extremely widely applied in many fields such as petroleum, chemical engineering, metallurgy, hydropower, etc. The butterfly disc of the soft seal butterfly valve is installed in the diameter direction of the pipeline. Inside the cylindrical channel of the butterfly valve body, the disc-shaped butterfly disc rotates around the axis, with the rotation angle between 0° and 90°. When it rotates to 90°, the valve is in the fully open state.

Main features of the soft seal butterfly valve.

First, in terms of valve body structure, it generally adopts an integral structure, formed by integral casting, which features high strength and good sealing performance. The internal flow channel of the valve body is designed to be simple and smooth, capable of reducing fluid resistance and improving fluid passing capacity, especially suitable for flow control in large-diameter pipelines.

Second, the valve disc of the soft seal butterfly valve typically adopts a disc-shaped structure, which is connected to the valve body through a rotating shaft. The sealing surface of the valve disc is made of soft materials such as rubber and polytetrafluoroethylene. These soft sealing materials have good elasticity and wear resistance, enabling them to closely fit the sealing surface of the valve body and ensure the sealing performance of the valve in the closed state. Moreover, when the soft sealing materials come into contact with the medium, no friction or wear will occur, reducing the leakage rate of the valve and improving its service life.
