Flange Globe Valve

The flange globe valve is a commonly used valve in the chemical industry, mainly used to control the on-off of fluids. It is connected to the pipeline through flanges and has the characteristics of simple structure, convenient operation, and good sealing performance.
Since there are a wide variety of fluids involved in the chemical production process, including various corrosive, toxic, flammable and explosive media, the sealing performance and reliability of flange globe valves are particularly important. They are widely used in various chemical pipeline systems to control the on-off of fluids and ensure the smooth progress of the production process.
Main features of the flange globe valve.
- The valve stem of the flange globe valve is designed with anti blow out structure. When the globe valve needs to be maintained and there is pressure in the pipeline, this design can prevent the maintenance personnel from unnecessary accidents caused by the valve stem flying out when the packing gland is removed;
- The disc of the flange globe valve can be selected according to the requirements of the user’s working conditions, one is the general switch type disc, the other is the adjustable type disc, the adjustable type disc has better regulating performance in the pipeline which needs to be adjusted;
- Male and female bonnet joints for Class 150 to 600 globe valves, and ring joint for the Class 900 & above globe valves or as an option for Class 600 valves on customer request;
- WayValve has a full stock of flange globe valves for bulk delivery by oil companies and industrial company customers.

Application Fields of Flange Globe Valves:
- Petrochemical Industry: flange globe valves are widely used in various pipeline systems to control the flow of media such as oil and gas. Their excellent sealing performance and corrosion resistance make them important equipment in this industry.
- Power Industry: in power facilities such as thermal power plants, flange globe valves are used to control the flow of media such as steam and water, ensuring the stable operation of the power system.
- Pharmaceutical Industry: flange globe valves can ensure the hygiene and safety of the drug production process, prevent cross-contamination, and meet the requirements of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Municipal Water Supply System: flange globe valves are also widely used in urban water supply systems to control the on-off of water flow and meet the water demand of urban residents.
As an important fluid control device, flange globe valves play a key role in multiple industrial fields. Their excellent performance and wide application range make flange globe valves an indispensable part of modern industrial production.

Is a globe valve unidirectional or bidirectional?
Globe valves are generally considered unidirectional. The flow of fluid in a globe valve is designed to be in a specific direction to ensure proper operation and good sealing performance. The valve’s internal structure, such as the seat and disc, is configured in a way that works most effectively with the fluid flowing in one direction. Reversing the flow can potentially lead to reduced performance, increased wear, and less effective sealing. However, there are some special-designed globe valves that can be used bidirectionally, but they are less common than the unidirectional ones.
